In addition to being a real estate agent, I also professionally restore mid century furniture with my husband at our business, Smith House Restoration! 1. Supporting Sellers through complex scenarios requires true patience and absolute dedication. This year I assisted a homeowner who was facing major life changes and looking to sell their home, all while having tenants occupy the basement apartment. We spent months navigating weekly showings and working through various complexities surrounding their personal situation as well as the tenant situation. Despite numerous challenges, I remained focused and handled each situation that developed with care. Once under contract, constant setbacks seemed to continue, but I worked day-in and day-out with all involved parties to ensure the contract moved forward. I negotiated and solved obscure and complicated problems on a daily basis throughout the contract period, and through this process successfully sold the home to an ideal Buyer. My client was pleased with the outcome, and I am grateful I had the opportunity to provide support & dedicated services during this time of change and difficulty. 2. During the height of the pandemic, I had the pleasure of working with a newly married couple as they started the journey of finding their first home. I was able to guide them through the process and have a front row seat to watch their dreams of owning a home come true. The couple was referred to me by a friend, and they were eager & motivated to find their first home in the Chattanooga/Cleveland area. Some of the main things I focused on while working with them was making the process as seamless and uncomplicated as possible, and also being detailed, responsive, and available. Throughout the three-month process, I made it a priority to maintain constant communication with them so they knew they could rely on me for updates, guidance, and answers to their questions. I wanted them to feel empowered to make informed decisions, so I took the time to explain each step in real time and aimed to simplify complex concepts. It was incredibly rewarding to witness their confidence grow as they grasped the intricacies of the real estate market and the buying process. Through extensive searches, I found a beautiful home in Cleveland that was a perfect fit, and I negotiated on their behalf and ensured they were receiving the best terms possible. Thinking back to the joy they had as they became proud first-time homeowners still fills me with pride.
